Long answer
The Palestinian society is currently extremely radicalized. Children are taught from birth in UNRWA schools that their ultimate goal is to murder Israelis and become martyrs. Women are proud of having many children because they can send out more terrorists to become martyrs. The support for the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7th is overwhelming both in Gaza and the West Bank according to all the latest polls. There is plenty of on-the-ground evidence of material support for Hamas by ordinary Palestinians in Gaza by way of safekeeping weapons and shafts to terror tunnels in their own homes, often in the bedrooms of their children. This is not a society that can peacefully coexist with anyone without major reeducation and setting of new social norms.
