Short answer
Hamas is a terror organization and not freedom fighters and they carried out one of the most horrific attacks on civilian population ever perpetrated. The atrocities are well documented.
Long answer
On October 7th Hamas launched a barbaric battalion-like offense on Israel. Sending in about 3000 commando Hamas members with the aid of rocket fire & sea and air activity with the goal of mass killing and conquering Israeli villages and towns. The result was over 1200 dead Israelis & other foreign nationals. Over 1000 of them civilians. Over 3000 wounded. And about 240 hostages that were kidnapped back into the Gaza strip. The victims were often brutalized and mutilated. Many evidence of rape prior to death were reported by survivors of the massacre as well. The horrific attack is well documented, especially since the attackers themselves carried body cams, the footage from which was restored and compiled by the Israeli Defense Forces during the aftermath of the event. Multiple survivors’ testimonies and autopsies show a mass range of atrocities committed by Hamas. From shooting, beheading, and butchering to burning alive people of various ages, and from both genders.
