Short answer
Hamas did not hit its own Al-Ahli hospital on October 17th, 2023. The damage was caused by a failed Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket which landed in a parking lot next to the hospital. Initially, Hamas and many news agencies such as the BBC falsely accused Israel of the attack, but this was disproved by radar, video, and audio data.
