Hamas and ISIS are comparable because both these groups share a vision of establishing an Islamic caliphate and seeking the destruction of all those not aligning with their ideology and interpretation of Islam. In the case of both terrorist organizations, their targets aren’t just the Israelis but also Western civilization in general, and they both consider civilian casualties as part of their plan. Hamas’s actions on October 7th, with brutal attacks on unarmed civilians and the use of hostages, mirrors the terror tactics commonly used by ISIS. Hence, this comparison is drawn.
